50% Transport Reduction: Presidency Releases List Of Participating Companies, Routes
Participating Companies Revealed for Federal Government’s Yuletide Transportation Plan
The Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, has unveiled the list of companies collaborating with the Federal Government to implement the plan to reduce transportation costs for Nigerians during the Yuletide season.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu had announced on Wednesday that the federal government would subsidize 50% of the transport fares for interstate road travelers and offer free train rides nationwide from December 21, 2023, to January 4, 2024.
In a post on X on Thursday, Onanuga disclosed the names of the five transportation companies participating in the initiative:
- GIG (God is Good)
- Chisco Transport
- Young Shall Grow
- God Bless Ezenwata
- Area Motor
These companies are expected to collaborate with the government to execute the scheme aimed at alleviating the transportation burden for around 5 million Nigerian travelers during the festive season.
