Nyesom Wike Has Fought With Everyone That Has Refused To Become His Puppet – APC Chieftain
Eze Chukwuemeka, a prominent member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has criticized Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), labeling him as inconsistent and accusing him of attempting to control others like puppets.
In an interview with Punch, Chukwuemeka asserted that Wike often contradicts himself by saying one thing today and doing the opposite the next day. He highlighted Wike’s contentious relationships within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), claiming that the former Rivers governor has clashed with prominent figures such as Ali Modu-Sheriff, Uche Secondus, and Senator Iyorcha Ayu.
Chukwuemeka emphasized that Wike appears to desire control over everyone, and if he encounters resistance, he engages in confrontations. The APC chieftain explained that he cautioned the APC National Working Committee (NWC) about Wike due to his perceived inconsistency and tendency to fight against those who do not conform to his expectations.
He cited instances where Wike, despite initially claiming he would not settle for the Vice Presidential candidate position, later lobbied for it after losing to Atiku Abubakar. Similarly, Wike, who initially declared he would not become a Minister, eventually lobbied for and secured the position. Chukwuemeka also pointed out Wike’s statements at the PDP presidential primary ground, where he pledged support for any candidate emerging, only to later express a desire for a third term in office.
The accusations underscore the APC chieftain’s concerns about Wike’s political approach, portraying him as an individual whose actions and statements may not align with consistent principles.
