Verentus at AOT Lagos 7.0: Fueled Up and Ready to Solve Bigger Problems for SMEs & Enterprises
As Lagos continues to be on the spotlight as the world’s Fastest-Growing Emerging Tech Ecosystem in 2025 with a market value of over $15.3 billion according to Dealroom.co surpassing cities like Istanbul and Mumbai due to its rapid growth in startup value, the city has attracted the attention of all stakeholders to see how Africa can leverage more on this cutting-edge technologies in advancing climate, healthcare, agriculture, education, retail, banking and also building smart cities with focus on enabling faster adaption to changes and societal impact.
On December 4, 2025, all stakeholders in the tech sector converged at the Art of Technology (AOT) Lagos 7.0 conference at the Landmark Event Centre, Victoria Island, with Verentus fully represented. Leading the delegation was Kelvin Onaghinor, one of our Managing Partners, who joined hundreds of innovators, policymakers, founders, and corporate leaders for a full day of insight and inspiration.
Under the theme “Future Technologies and a Sustainable Lagos,” the event delivered powerful keynotes (including Egypt’s first astronaut, Sara Sabry), high-level plenaries with Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Dr Obafemi Hamzat, and NITDA DG Kashifu Inuwa, and practical breakout sessions on AI infrastructure, robotics, blockchain, e-mobility, clean energy, and circular economies.
Every conversation circled back to one core idea: technology is only as valuable as the real-world problems it solves. That idea lit a fire under the entire Verentus team.
Walking out of AOT 7.0, Kelvin and the team returned even more energised. They focused on what we do best, delivering practical, high-impact solutions that remove pain points and unlock growth for small & medium enterprises (SMEs) and larger organisations across Nigeria and beyond.
We’re doubling down on:
- AI-powered automation that slashes costs and frees up teams
- Conversion-driven websites and e-commerce platforms that grow revenue
- Brand strategies and digital campaigns that help local businesses punch above their weight
- Development of a SaaS product to help automate organisational operations and provide higher efficiency
- Hands-on training and consultancy that make modern tools accessible to everyone
AOT Lagos 7.0 wasn’t just another conference for us; it was a powerful reminder that the future of African business lies in intentional innovation using technology to solve local problems, create jobs, and build resilient, sustainable companies. That’s exactly the future Verentus is committed to co-creating with every client we serve.
Huge thanks to the Eko Innovation Centre, Lagos State Government, and the entire AOT team for an exceptional event.
