Edo Assembly members-elect leave Oshiomhole’s Tent for Inauguration
Seven out of the fourteen absentee members-elect of Edo State House of Assembly have left the residence of the suspended national Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Adams Oshiomhole in the Federal Capital Territory, FCT in Abuja preparatory for their inauguration.
The disgruntled members-elect who failed to present themselves for inauguration of the house on June 17, 2019, were among the early callers at the residence of APC Chieftain who is loyal to Governor Godwin Obaseki’s faction on Wednesday in Benin City.
Their decision to beat retreat, is coming barely,24 hours after a three-man panel of justices in the court of Appeal, Abuja, affirmed the suspension of Adams Oshiomhole and the sudden turn of events in the ruling party led by the acting national Chairman of APC, Chief Victor Giadom.
Recall that the leadership of the State house of Assembly had declared the seats of the lawmakers vacant in December 2019.
A confidential source hinted our Correspondent that, Hon. Charles Idahosa was having his siesta on Wednesday afternoon when they stormed his residence like intruders.
Details of their mission to the APC leader, was still sketchy as at the time of filing these report.
But, a domestic staff at Idahosa residence said they confided on his Principal that they are now prepared to eat the humble pie and return back to the house.
