Edo State Government has taken major step to reclaim some of the landed properties that were illegally allocated to the cronies and allies of ex governor, Mr. Adams Aliyu Oshiomhole.

All the properties are located in the high-brow Government Reservation Area in Benin City.

The list of those that allegedly received the landed property gift includes, Prof. Julius Ihonvbere and Mr. Pius Odubu who served Oshiomhole as Secretary to State Government and Deputy Governor respectively.

Others whose names are contained in the yet to be published document are: Mr. Oseni Elamah, ex chairman of Edo State Internal Revenue Service, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, ex-chairman Economic Team, now Governor of the Edo State, Mr. Oghogho Akpata, a lawyer and Susan Itemuagbor.

Notable allottees includes, Aigboje Ehidero AIG Imuokhuede and Noggie Megisson.

Apart from individuals, some corporate bodies also received lion share from the suspicious land deal. Some of the companies listed are: CA Aliyu and Company Limited, Bimseg Venture Limited and Sharon Properties.

Midwest Herald investigation revealed that, apart from Plot 69, Old GRA, Benin City which is the official Deputy Governor’s Guest House, allocated to Odubu, all the properties involved were those that were reclaimed from the University of Benin by Oshiomhole.

Midwest Herald can also confirm that the Okoro-Otun residence of the All Progressives Congress national chairman, Mr. Adams Oshiomhole was allocated in similar questionable circumstance.
