Egor APC Declares Total Support For The Re-election Of Governor Godwin Obaseki
…officially declares their intention to follow Governor Godwin Obaseki to any platform of his choosing
The leaders of Egor Local Government All Progressives Congress (APC) have affirmed their support for the re-election of Governor Godwin Obaseki in the Edo 2020 Gubernatorial Election.
The APC LGA chairman, Chief Odion Olaye rallied all 10 Ward Chairmen, 10 Councillors, all Senior Special Assistants and Special Assistants, Women and Youth Leaders, Ward Executive Members from all 10 wards in Egor LGA in support of the re-election of Governor Godwin Obaseki.
Speaking at the meeting, which held on the 14th of June, 2020 in Egor, Chief Odion Olaye berated the National Chairman of the APC for the kangaroo disqualification of Governor Godwin Obaseki, adding that it wasn’t a surprise going by Adam Oshiomhole’s history of acting without regards for the constitution guiding the All Progressives Congress (APC).
“Let us know that the man who has done Edo State this injustice is not working for the good of the citizens of Edo. He has been a judge and jury in his own case. He has been a referee in his own match. He acts as if he owns Edo State.That is the reason we are not surprised he and his kangaroo screening committee disqualified our performing governor.
“We want to state that the re-election bid of Governor Godwin Obaseki is non negotiable for all the leaders of APC in Egor LGA. We will not relent in working for him. Whatever platform Governor Godwin Obaseki goes to, we will go with him. Our interest is that godfatherism must end. Our interest is that the good work Governor Godwin Obaseki has started, he must be allowed to continue,” he stated.
All LGA executives, the 10 Ward Executives, former and present LGA council chairmen and deputy chairmen, councilors and supervising councilors, Senior Special Assistants and Special Assistants, reiterated their resolve to support Governor Godwin Obaseki and work for his re-election. They stated that whatever party, Governor Godwin Obaseki goes to, they will also go to, including all of their supporters.
