Of the imposition of Nelson Tenebe as head of Edo hospital mgt agency and Okpebholo’s loss of control to Oshiomhole, Jarret

I raised an alarm recently about the fact that Senator Monday Okpebholo has lost control of his government to Comrade Adams Oshiomhole and the chairman of the Edo State All Progressives Congress (APC), Jarret Tenebe, and one faceless Alari-Enoma Edosa wrote a rebuttal calling me all sorts of unprintable names.

Apart from thoroughly abusing me, Edosa the interloper, assuming that is not just a pen name, did not address any of the points that led to my inference that Okpebholo is just a puppet and the puppeteers are Oshiomhole and Jarret Tenebe.

For well-meaning Edo people and Nigerians who may not be aware, my conclusion was drawn from a letter addressed to Monday Okpebholo by the Medical and Dental Consultants of Nigeria (MDCAN), dated January 29, 2025, where they stated and I quote: “Following the expiration of the ultimatum issued on the 7th of January, 2025, and the subsequent meetings we had with you Sir, we want to appreciate your Excellency’s kind approval of Dr. Christopher Eigbe Ehiagwina as the Executive Secretary/Chief Executive of the Hospital Management Agency during the last meeting we had with you on the 22nd January, 2025.

“Unfortunately sir, your directives have not been effected up till now as though your instructions are being undermined. This has led to great disenchantment among members after initially being told that you had given the instruction for the name to be announced and the appointment given effect.

“Arising from an emergency general meeting held this morning (January, 29th, 2025), the association declared a two-day warning strike to begin 12 midnight today 29th of January, 2025 if the announcement and appointment is NOT given effect to, as directed by Your Excellency a week ago.”

If as stated above without equivocation in this letter signed by the doctors association’s chairman and secretary, Dr. Clement Ikponmwen and Dr. Osaronse Anthony, respectively, that Okpebholo’s orders are flagrantly disregarded, is it not an easy inference to make that these beneficiaries of the status quo are the ones calling the shots?

This is apart from the fact that my sources within the Edo APC confirmed that Okpebholo is a total lame-duck chief executive at least, at the moment.

Edosa or whatever he calls himself should take a hike from writing if he does not understand that basic intelligence is a necessary tool for the trade of journalism.
